Be Merry And Bright: The Best Christmas Markets In Singapore This Festive Season

hristmas is just around the corner and we are all starting to think of presents to buy for our loved ones. Singapore has plenty of shopping options but instead of trailing around the chaos of a shopping centre, why not visit a Christmas market and do a one stop shop instead?  

A Merry Conscious Christmas

If you don’t want to give in to the lure of a throwaway Christmas, then visit this market run by The Green Collective. They have plenty of sustainable brands, from Wellness Within to Zhai. They will also be running batik workshops, worm farming workshops, and African head wrapping. The market will be open from 11am-9pm at Kinex.  

Organic Farmer’s Market

If you are hosting your own Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner and you want some organic ingredients, then head to this farmer’s market on the 17th November. You can find stalls selling their own bread, drinks and homegrown vegetables. There will also be painting and art workshops for kids as well as musical performances. The market is from 9.30am to 4pm at Hotel Jen Orchardgateway.  

Wool Craft Christmas Fair

If you want to shop locally and support small businesses, then head to this craft fair. You can get wrapping paper, cards, gift tags as well as home decor and fashion accessories. Local clothing and jewellery brands will also be setting up shop here so if you want something a little different,  look no further. The market runs from 20-21st November, from 8-12 pm at 18 Chestnut Crescent.  

Cluny Court Christmas Fair

If decorations and Christmas-themed gifts are what you are looking for, then head to this renowned market. They have Santa, Christmas decorations galore, including trees, Christmas food and snacks. Tan Boon Liat Christmas Block Party

The Tan Boon Liat building is going all-out for Christmas, selling artisanal gifts to decorate your home with. They will also be stocking furniture, if you decide you want to go big this Christmas. They will also have an on-site choir, singing Christmas favorites. The market runs from 10-6pm at the Tan Boon Liat building on Outram Road.  

Danish Christmas Bazaar

Nothing spells out Christmas more than a Danish bazaar. You can find handmade decorations, food and sweets, beer, hot dogs, open sandwiches and plenty of music. Kind of like Oktoberfest but at Christmas. They also have a special zone for children as well as the chance to visit Santa. The market runs from 11am-4pm at Danske Somandskirke Singapore.
