Funktion The Ultimate Retro Dance Party

The Ultimate Retro Dance Party

Set in the lush surrounds of Fort Gate (Fort Canning Park), expect over 3000 revellers when the gates open at 6pm, exploding with a fanfare of entertainment from veteran spin doctors who have devastated famous locales back in the day. It's a night to boogie shamelessly to retro hits with cheesy hand moves and equally tacky dancing. Think tight bell bottoms with outrageous mismatch prints, complete with big retro sunnies.

But the fun does not stop here; Party-goers will also be encouraged to color code themselves ala ‘Traffic Light’ to signify their eligibility for the night:

  • Wear Red if Unavailable. “Just there for a good time”
  • Wear Amber if Undecided. “Try your luck.”
  • Wear Green if Uninhibited. “Game for some fun.”

Have you been waiting for that 80’s or 90’s song to dance to?
Send in your song request and we’ll guarantee it to be played! Stay on till the end of Funktion for the ‘must have’ slow dance and reminisce the good times (like that prom night years ago). You’re never too old to have some fun!

What's a party without booze?
Being the spirit of the party, Bacardi is the main sponsor of Funktion alongside co-sponsors Coca cola and Carlsberg. House pour drinks sold will be exclusively from the Bacardi line of products, beer exclusively from Carlsberg & soft drinks from F&N Coca Cola.
